Really enjoyed the read bru. It seems like one of the biggest things the carnivore diet addresses is the problem of excess. It's so often the case I eat because I can, not because I need to. So thank you for inspiring me to reflect on my own eating habits, and who knows, perhaps give the experiment a try myself...

Much love brother❤️🥩

So impressed how you focus on your health. I work with some drs who advocate Carnivore for some.people & great to get rid of carb cravings. I am worried about Gut health & will not advocate it beyond 1 month. Fibre is critical. Add your veggies & beans. I also experiment with low carb as athlete. Keep up the good work & sharing your experience.

Hi Lizl, good to hear from you! From my research, fiber in a plant-based diet ferments to produce butyric acid, a short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) crucial for colon health. But on a carnivore diet, the body can produce a similar compound, beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB), during ketosis, or obtain plenty butyric acid directly from foods like butter. This provides the gut benefits we need without fiber.

One main issue for people transitioning to carnivore is that a quick shift can disrupt the gut microbiome, which is very sensitive to sudden changes. A gradual transition allows the microbiome to adjust and reduces the risk of negative reactions.

Hi Seb, remember that Carl went on this diet and lost 14 kilos? And he wasn't even as strickt as you are - had lots of veggies as well. And did you know that Archilochus was from Paros ?

Love Charlotte - from Paros

Hi Mom, please see the same reply I had to Lizl:

You need to make sure you eat enough butter or ghee then

Interesting read Seb. Any restricted diet (like a juice fast) frees up a lot of time as shopping, preparing meals with love, and then sharing them us time consuming. But it is also a lovely way of "breaking bread" with friends and loved ones. I personally favour the Mediterranean diet, there is nothing more satisfying than picking home grown produce and preparing something deliciously nutritious. I await your conclusions with interest 💜

This is very true and nothing can be better for the soul than sharing a big meal with loved ones.

However, I believe one must consciously ride indulgence without ignorance - and these experiments help teach me that.

I look forward to eating some of Granny's Chocolate Cake with you soon ;)
